VEX V5 Robotics Competition

Being part of Team 2156X was one of the formative experiences in my early engineering journey. This competing experience taught me far more than just designing a robot. We've overcome many challenges, not limited to robot design, but also launching a new organization. This meant rebuilding everything—our team structure, branding, strategy, and robot—from scratch.

I took on the role of secretary, managing our engineering notebook and ensuring we clearly documented our design process, decisions, and progress. It taught me how to communicate technical ideas effectively and take ownership of our design. Through this experience, I learned how to collaborate under stress, and stay focused on long-term goals despite short-term setbacks.

Most importantly, VEX taught me how to trust my instincts, and how to grow into a version of myself that wasn’t afraid to lead, adapt, or start over when necessary. It wasn't easy, but it taught me the value of resilience, teamwork, and stay focused on the bigger picture. Allowing me to figure out what kind of person I actually wanted to be.
