As part of NYU's RoboMaster Team Ultraviolet, I led the mechanical subteam in designing and fabricating competitive robots for DJI's Robomaster Competition. Our goal was to design and construct high precision robots capable of performing complex tasks while meeting strict technical constraints.
We currently have 4 robots: Standard, Engineer, Hero, and Sentry.
We designed structural components using SolidWorks and Onshape, ensuring durability for field maintenance. Implemented fabrication techniques such as waterjet cutting, CNC machining, laser cutting, and 2D printing, achieving tolerances as low as ±0.01”. Mentored new members through mini-robot builds and hands-on training, with a focus on design thinking and technical growth.
Through RoboMaster, I applied the engineering design process end-to-end, from brainstorming and prototyping to validation and iterative improvement. It deepened my interest in robotics, while strengthening my skills in leadership, collaboration, and real-world problem solving.
